FAQ.
Answers to every question you may have:
What is nearshore Full Stack Development?
Nearshore full-stack development involves collaborating with software engineers in a nearby region (in our case, Latin America) who share your time zone, speak fluent English, and can join your team just as local hires would. The “full stack” part means our engineers can handle both front-end and back-end development, so you don’t have to juggle multiple roles.
How does your staff augmentation model work?
It’s pretty simple: you tell us what roles you need, and we match you with vetted engineers who integrate directly into your team. They join your daily standups, follow your processes, and communicate in your tools (Slack, Jira, GitHub, you name it). The only difference is that they’re on our payroll instead of yours, to save you from the headaches of recruiting, HR, compliance, and logistics.
Can Ewents handle full projects, or just staffing?
Both! If you already have a team and just need extra hands, we’ll plug in our engineers through staff augmentation. If you want us to deliver a full project end-to-end, we scope it with you, set a budget and timeline, and take ownership of delivery in a fixed-price model. Many of our clients even do a hybrid model, keeping some staff internal and letting us handle specific modules or integrations.
How do you make sure the engineers you assign are actually top quality?
We take hiring seriously, because we’re engineers ourselves. Every candidate goes through two rounds of interviews (English + technical), plus a background check. We also adapt to your process if you want to add coding challenges, system design interviews, or other assessments. The result: you only get the top 1% of candidates we review, not a flood of resumes you have to sift through.
What industries and compliance frameworks do you have experience with?
We’ve supported clients in industries like healthcare, fintech, cybersecurity, and more. On the compliance side, our team has worked with FedRAMP, ISO 2700X, NIST, and other frameworks. We think about security all the time: when we write code, architect systems, and manage data. We even carry cyber insurance, E&O, and professional liability insurance so that you can trust us at all times.
Do you provide support after a project is finished?
Yes, and this is a big differentiator for us. We don’t just ship code and vanish. We provide ongoing maintenance, bug-free guarantees for 30 days, and knowledge transfer to make sure your internal team can take over smoothly. If you require longer-term support, we can structure that too, such as a retainer for bug fixes or a dedicated support team.
How does pricing work?
Our rates range from $20–$85+/hr, depending on the role, seniority, and English level. That’s all-in, with no hidden fees. You can engage with us on an hourly basis (staff augmentation), or we can agree on a fixed price for a project if you have a clearly defined scope. Either way, we’ll give you a clear estimate before billing starts.
How fast can you staff a project?
On average, we can assign vetted engineers in 1–2 weeks. For urgent roles, sometimes even faster.
What makes Ewents different from other nearshore companies?
Our two main differentiators are:
(1) We value people over transactions. Ewents was founded to challenge the traditional nearshore model and move away from a purely transactional approach. We don’t see engineers as “resources”—they’re people who deserve to be valued. That’s why we’ve turned down even high-paying projects when the conditions didn’t align with our values. As a direct result, our engineers are more engaged, deliver higher-quality code, and become invested in your project.
(2) We’re engineers, not just recruiters. Our founders are software engineers who care about code quality, not just revenue KPIs. That perspective shapes everything, from how we vet talent to how we deliver projects. For us, delivering high quality code is non-negotiable.
